Tips: Whenever stuck between decisions, flip a coin. Go along with the outcome or what you wished for in the flipping process.
Deoxyribonucleic Acid, traditionally known as DNA is a well-known biological molecule that is implicitly understood by the non-scientific community as merely the genetic carrier of traits. One can argue that this knowledge effortlessly procureable, in part due to the enthusiastical contributions of scientists, both seasoned and naive, could have paramountcy on an individual largely based on how intricately or prefunctory its importance is relayed.
Although a blood transfusion is needed every two seconds in this country, just three percent of the United States population donates blood each year. Your decision to donate blood will save the lives of your friends and neighbors - making it time especially well spent.
American advance into Canada halted by British troops Near Niagara Falls on this day in 1814, British troops commanded by General Phineas Riall thwarted an invasion of Canada by a U.S. force under General Jacob Brown in the Battle of Lundy's Lane during the War of 1812 . How much do you know about the history of war?

At some point in life, we begin to face expectations. These expectations can come from anywhere and from anyone — whether they are self-imposed or come from parents, friends, or family. Some of these expectations become goals — goals that we set our minds on achieving, and failure to do so can mean the difference between depression and success. This is why it is important to think carefully about which expectations meet your standards for becoming a goal. Yet, your standards for a goal should be based on what is plausible, not just on desire.
What, then, would one define as a plausible goal? Plausibility is circumstantial and, in some cases, based on the individual.
Sometimes, it may not be circumstantial; it might stem from your individual capabilities — and in that case, it’s really important to assess yourself well. Many people, including me, sometimes fail at this. They either have high self-efficacy (see themselves as more capable than they are) or the opposite. It is important that when setting goals based on your capabilities, you do not consider what others think of you, but rather what you have accomplished in the past. Your past successes are usually a telltale sign of what you are capable of achieving. But sometimes, you just haven’t encountered such a goal before — what do you do? Well, life is all about trial and error. If the intentions behind your goal are something anyone could support, then there’s nothing wrong with trying and failing. Because through failure, you will discover your capabilities.
Sometimes, a goal is just not achievable no matter how hard you try. Sometimes, there is simply no way forward. When this happens, I say persevere. Only after persevering and still being hindered should you consider setting your goal aside. Emphasis on aside, not away. At a later point, you may have overcome the obstacles or been presented with a new opportunity to achieve your goal — then you can get back on track.
I will say, though, that as someone who has goals, you should avoid being a hindrance to other people’s goals. If someone can only achieve a goal through your help, then offer it to the best of your ability. Through this, you may discover hidden strengths you never knew you had.

The Human Origin Story
Figue 1 - Creation
Am I created by a higher intelligence or by a random cosmic event? This is the question that tends to draw a divide between many religions and between scientists. There are many theories, beliefs and speculations that have sought to answer this existensial question. There can be parallels found between these explanations, but two things are for sure; our lives had a beginning, pointing to the indisputable fact of an end and within the many explanations of our origin, there exists one which holds the truth.
The scientific method seeks to answer the How, the What, the When, by and from Who, by Which way, the reason Why, and Where? Scientists when developing a theory have to come up with an undisputable and somehow replicatable answer to these questions. The conventional and well known process after identifying a problem is to do a search on other theories and come up with an initial hypothesis, in simple terms, a superficial theory of what the solution seems to be, or in a more simpler word - a guess. An experiment is then carried out to test this hypothesis. This is a repeating process which continues to build on itself until a presentable answer is found.
Figue 2 - The Scientific Method
Limitations
Despite being full proof for many scientific problems, there are just some topics that cannot be proven or disproven by the scientific methodbecause they are beyond and above us. One of these topics being the human origin story.
Yet, there are currently 4 major scientific theories that attempt in explaining the human origin
Quantum Gravity Theories
String Theory 🔗 and Loop Quantum Gravity 🔗 are grouped into this we call Quantum Gravity Theory. QGT aims to reconcile General Relativity (which simply tries to explain the macro-level structures of the universe) with Quantum Mechanics (simply describing the micro-level structures of the universe)
This theory is itself theoretical as they are still being formulated. These theories lack testable predictions that can be verified with current technology and due to its extreme mathematical complexity, they are hard to work with and can sometimes predict phenomena which are beyond our ability to observe. There is no evidence to this effect.
The Big Bang Theory
Amongst some in the scientific community, the Big Bang is the most widely accepted explanation for the origin of the universe out of the other three. It posits that the universe began from a singularity - an extremely hot point with unimaginable pressure which had a sudden release of energy.
Evidence provided:
Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation
Figue 1 - Fossil radiation
The above is what is called a fossil radiation. Discovered by Arno Penzias and Robert Wilson in 1965,this is basically the image produced from the most advanced telescope showing the remnants of light from the farthest parts of the universe, which cosmologists can use to get a glimpse into what it looked just 380,000 years after the big bang. Propenents of this theory propose that due to the uniformity of light as seen in the image, the theory of a single-dense point of light is supported.
Although well presented this evidence is, there are some pitfalls
Pitfalls:
Singularity Problem
The big bang proposes a point of infinite density and temperature called the singularity. This is a violation of the laws of physics as we know them and to assume this means that the proponents of this theory do believe there could exist elements of the cosmos which could break the laws of physics and it is just a matter of discovery. Many laws of physics have been broken before and continue to be.
The Horizon Problem
The universe today appears to have uniformity in temperature and density in areas that are distant. These areas, if considering just the Big Bang theory and not the Inflation theory, should not have similar temperatures as they would never have been in contact with each other.
Monopole Problem
The Big Bang theorizes that there are magnetic monopoles 🔗 (hypothetical particles with a single magnetic pole, imagine magnets with just south poles). But they are just hypothetical as of now and this does remove credibility from the theory.
Inflation Theory
As a fix to some of the problems that invalidated the Big Bang theory, Alan Guth in 1980 posited the Inflation Theory which states that a second after the Big Bang, the universe started expanding.
Evidence provided:
Hubble's Law
Figue 1 - Expansion of the Universe
Observations by Edwin Hubble in the 1920s showed that galaxies are moving away from us, with more distant galaxies receding faster. This seems suggests that the universe is expanding and that there once was point of origin from which this expansion began.
Horizon problem Fix
A constantly expanding universe seems to explain why the there are uniformities in temperature and density between vast distances as they once were in contact before inflation pushed them apart.
Flatness Fix
Though not mentioned earlier, the Big Bang did not seem to explain the current scientific observation of the universe, not the earth, having a flat geometry. This is posited by the Inflation theory.
Primordial Fluctuations
As a new addition to the fixes of the Big Bang theory, this theory posited an explanation for why and how matter came together after the Big Bang to form galaxies, solar systems and planets.
It posits that there were quantum fluctuations which caused the formation of galaxies.
With important fixes to the Big Bang theory, this theory seems infallible, however there is a down side to this
Pitfalls:
Lack of Direct Evidence
The evidence provided by the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) is an indirect evidence and is limited by humanity's latest technological level as there is a probability light patterns beyond the current reach of our most advanced telescope do show non-uniformity. Yet if we are to take the CMB as credible, it is an indirect evidence. So far there has been no direct evidence to proof the expansion of the universe whether through tests or elemental samples.
Fine Tuning
As with many theories, there are certain conditions and parameters that are initialized. Lets say for example, in measuring the distance from Santa Clarita to San Diego along the Freeway, we must initialize Santa Clarita as the starting point of the freeway, but the question is, what exact point in Santa Clarita are we initializing? Is it from the middle of the city or from boundaries of the city?
This same issue is apparent in the development of the Inflation theory. Some of the conditions and parameters established as basis of this theory might not have been true at the beginning of time.
Multiversal Problem
Some versions of this theory imply the existence of a multiverse, which as of now is science fiction. This does remove credibility.
Multiverse Theory
This theory proposes that our universe is just one of many universes, possibly with different physical laws and constants. This theory is a product of the current means to provide evidence of Quantum Gravity Theories.
As with the QGT, this theory contains as much evidence as the others.
The Biblical Explanation
There are various religions throughout the world that have some sort of origin story. One thing that is valid is that, irrespective of an individual's belief in a God, humanity's beginnings cannot be denied.
Today, as always, there are two main divisions in explaining human origin — Theistic and Atheistic. I do not believe that the division is between science and not-science. Albert Einstein, throughout his life, explicitly refused to refer to himself as 'atheistic' but considered himself 'agnostic' and a 'religious nonbeliever'... Click Here
Einstein, one of science’s greatest minds and the positor of General Relativity — a foundation of modern physics — did not deny the possibility of God’s existence. Why? Because there is no scientific proof to the contrary. So the question becomes: is there scientific proof for the existence of God? To explore this, we must start from the very beginning.
Can the Laws of Physics Be Violated?
Christianity presents a divine Being who can create and manipulate matter beyond known physics... the Big Bang theory and other origin models imply the existence of elements that violate natural laws, indirectly supporting the possibility of such a Being.
Existence of Infinitely Existing Matter?
Christianity posits a God with no beginning. Ironically, scientific theories like the Big Bang also rely on the assumption that something eternal existed before time... This supports the logic that something — or Someone — must exist without origin.
Existence Out of Space and Time?
Christianity states that God is not bound by the laws of creation. Just as we are not limited by our code, so is the Creator not subject to the system He made.
Direct Evidence of Existence
Whether in religion or science, belief plays a role. For Christians, this belief is faith. In science, it’s theory — both are structured around assumptions that cannot yet be fully proven or disproven.
